We honor every Mainer who has a part to play in navigating these difficult times and we are thinking about the millions of individual choices aimed at "flattening the curve" of Covid-19 transmission. The actions of many are striking examples of sacrifice for the common good. We are grateful.
Our offices and literacy centers will operate remotely during the Civil State of Emergency as issued by Governor Janet Mills, to be in effect until August 6, 2020. LVFSC staff is working from home to develop new, creative methods for continuing and supporting our literacy services using technology, among other tools.
Our Book Donation program and Traveling Libraries programs are on hold until Aug. 6, at which time we will assess the most recent Maine state data to determine next steps.
Literacy is the key.
