Our book-sharing program is based in the Arthur D. Ingalls Center (144 High Street, Farmington).
Volunteers accept and sort donated books from schools, libraries, and individuals.
Books are distributed in the community through free bookshelves and giveaway events.

Free Bookshelves
Teams of volunteers stock shelves with free books in 13 different locations, including doctors’ offices, food pantries, and nursing homes.
Free Book Saturdays
Last Saturday of every month from 10-1.
Events
We can provide free books to organizations for events and occasions such as book swaps, last day of school, summer camps, community meals, or warming/cooling centers.
In 2025 we gave out over 5,000 new and gently used books!
Donations
We accept donations of gently used books. Books can be donated during Free Books Saturdays or by appointment.
Contact us if you would like to donate books
We do not accept religious texts, encyclopedias, textbooks, Reader's Digest condensed books, or books in poor condition. For donations larger than 2 boxes/shopping bags, please call ahead to make sure we have room.
