-For over 20 years, Matilda Holt and Dottie Richard have been part of the Literacy Volunteers community, partnering with tutors, board embers, and fellow learners to offer support for lifelong learning.
Jaimi Buck started writing stories about her barnyard animals with her tutor, Brianna Rush, in 2016. Alana Knapp volunteered over 300 hundred hours to illustrate Jaimi's book for publishing, This team is currently working on a new story book for publishing-and will plan to give away books and host read aloud events in 2023 for local preschools and library story hours.

In 2015, Carol Palmer and Marlene Bryan, started to read together, write poetry, go to the library and do book clubs, vote, and stay connected. Carol has been integral to building the learning community at our Spruce Mountain Learning Center in Livermore Falls. Carol teaches an adult coloring class and attends weekly classes.
